In my dreams...

by brin macnamara   Aug 30, 2004

In the momentary encounters we share during daylight hours a smile is all we exchange.
No acknowledgment other than superficiality exudes from my heart.
No one sees, nor reads the brailed language of my heart.
Passion beating within my breast is muffled by the reality of the day.

But in the deepest shadows of night our hearts rendezvous.
The darkest point of the night sees our dreams connect and we become as one.
Loving, passionate meetings are restricted only to sleep
Nocturnal embraces invisible to the world.
Fairy like we dance around a maypole of love,
Finally falling into each others arms entwined in mutual passion.

See now yonder in the eastern heavens the sun she begins her voyage once anew,
Arms unfolded, fingertips tenderly touching we say an adoring farewell.
My dream fades like the summer dew as in to the mist you recede once more.

In daytime hours you will not identify the extent to which I love you
For my camouflage is effectual, yet so agonizing.
In your waking hours your will never perceive that you are my hearts delight.
But... I beseech you... Day dream... just for a moment... then tell me what you feel...
