The winters snows soon will melt...

by brin macnamara   Aug 30, 2004

Thoughts of you cause me to drift into a sea of daydreams
In which every atom of me becomes aflame in the midst of passion
Like Hermes of old my heart with wings flies to you with love fervent.
With one touch from you my Goddess I become like a God.
Come with me Sarah let us journey to Olympus with love as our carriage.

Daily I picture your hair the colour of the sun,
Your neck that mutely cries out to be kissed,,
Whilst your hazel eyes slice into my heart filling me with a longing to hold you in my arms.
I pray that you will never abandon me my beautiful angel lest I should perish cold and empty in the twilight world of the unloved.

Your presence is the cornerstone of my existence.
Past days my heart ached without
you,
A barren cave, the days trickle, dripped away whilst you were gone.
As daylight faded my soul rejoiced,
soon she will return I told my heart.

For now though, I await your return.
Soon my dearest will come and take her seat by mine
Only then will I be nourished.
My soul, my very essence will exist again,
For winters harsh snows begin to melt-
You my Aphrodite will have returned.
