Everything has it's own story to tell

by John123   Aug 31, 2004

Burning ember in the night
Glowing brightly with amber delight
Flickering flames darting to and fro
Around the smithy do they go
Bang clang crash smash goes the smithy's song
Burning steal; melting blood; forming swords of long
With melting madness he rattles on
even as the days grow long
life with purpose and meaning
consuming all of his being
one reason...one wish ...one goal
to pour in his heart and soul
to drive him on
into the bloody dawn
he douses the amber steel
he tests the strength and the feel
he sharpens blade
of what hes made
he wields the sword with a keen eye
on this day he knows he will not die
on this day he will die to live
for he has not his soul to give
the soul is entangled with the sword
cause in his heart and soul he poured
he will fight the good fight
and will rest there in the fading light
and as the day meets the night
he will hold on to whats pure and right
the sword will give him strength and hope
he will be drawn out of sorrow and will not mope
he will stagger to his knees then to his feet
then the maker he will meet
with sheathed sword at his side
he will feel whole as he died
knowing that he will live on
through a many bloody dawn
in his sword... and in this psalm
