I’m sorry for the trust I betrayed

I’m sorry for messing up
I’m sorry that I trusted him
Sometimes sorry isn’t enough

I’m sorry for going over there
I’m sorry for not trying as hard as I could
I’m sorry that you trusted me
I didn’t act like a best friend should

I’m sorry but I love you
And I am scared of your next words
For I know what I deserve to hear you say
I just don’t want them to be heard

So speak away my angel
Say what’s in your heart
Please at least say something
Because the silence tears me apart
