Burnt Rose

by Unloved ♥   Aug 31, 2004

I thought of you forever
The years we spent together
I would never forget and regret
I meant all I said
Meant all I did

Just showing you how much I loved you every day of my life
I wished in the future you'd get down on your knees and ask me to be your wife
I'd say yes
God would bless the love we'd share

Together we'd be a happy couple
We talked for hours and hours
Theres was no chance of stopping
We had connection we still stood talking

We both spilled our lives out to eachother
Shared memorial times from one another
It was 2 months away from our anniversy
You gave me a rose I'd know I'd treasure

Then thats when you said I think we should stop being together
I froze with the rose in my hand
I went home without you hand in hand
I got that rose and threw it in the fireplace

I watched that rose burn
Along with that burnt rose was our burnt love I thought would never end
I was wrong and thats why I burnt that rose all this time
For nothing but rose ashes and a broken regretted melted heart
