A Thing Of beauty & Passion

by Robert   Sep 1, 2004

Beautiful to smell and touch but I do not dare,
to grasp its neck and hold it without care.
Such a gentle thing it comes in a world of colors and blooms,
and it’s the only thing I wish to smell in all my rooms.
Its warm scent can drive me mad and make my heart pump,
and behind closed doors it could make my temperature jump.
In it’s pedals of soft kind grace,
I wish to have you stroke them across my face.
Kisses as wine and given to the most erotic sides of life,
I wait the day when a gentleman gives them to me for being his wife.
I would hold them and suck all the smell out of it,
then lazily walk in a coma like state and that’s where I shall sit.
I love this flower like a lover in my arms,
for I know this thing will never do me harm.
If I hold it gently and take it in with all I have to hold,
and show my man that this is how my love should be foretold.
Think of me as this flower and enjoy,
for on this bed of roses let us not be coy.

This one was my fave from all the poems I read by you. The flow was consistent making it easy to read and also a joy. Your rhymes were not forced and it all just came naturally. Again your imagery was wonderful painting the scene in my mind. Well done *5/5*
