Treasure Keepers

by Robert   Sep 1, 2004

Let me tell you a tail that starts beneath the soil,
where secrets and treasures forever toil.
A place forgotten by humans and spoke in the dark,
far from any cry of a flying lark.
Let me take you to a land that has been forgotten by most,
along where waters mash against on the rocky coast.
Where valleys are lush with the moors of grass,
where you may catch the eye of a red haired lass.
Yes it is in this surrounding under a bridge colored light,
if you look closely you may catch a sight.
They scatter at the sight of anything that will steal there gold,
a treasure that they for ever will hold.
They will run and hide just to save what little they can spare,
for they have hidden it from us in forgotten lair.
The were the ones that went below when the elves went away,
for there treasures were here so this is where they stay.
Talking to the fairies and running from the banshee,
taking nothing for granted and knowing nothing is free.
Hording there gold from anyone sight,
they are tough even though they are short on height.
On one day we give the respect that they really deserve,
even though there actions are almost always reserved.
so pour the ale and let the songs cry in the night,
For our buddies that are just out of our sight.
Drink up for we have one day to give them pause,
for if we catch those leprechauns it is we that will be richer for the cause.
For if those dwarf should ever fail to hide his gold,
It will be in our hands to hold.

I say the same thing for this one as I said about the others. I did think that this idea was very unique, which is good. Maybe to help with the flow you could break it up into stanzas. just a suggestion. <3<3
