Hurting ®

I read your words as clear as day,
See the hurtful things you say.
Why do you want to hurt this way?

You talk about me like I'm just a "Her",
But you lied to me, of that I'm sure.
My hearts in pieces and insecure.

To a bar, Pierre's and Applebee's too.
Leaves me to wonder, what else did you do?
Kind words to me are always so few.

So I sit here nervous and fretting,
Longing for honesty and sincere loving.
Tony, I'm so badly HURTING.

-This was written during a rough spot in my marriage, we've overcome it now, but felt I needed to share it w/ others.

    very nicely done!!!!! i really like how it was kept short and simple but you put alot of power in to this and alot of emotion. i know how you feel. it really hurts.

    Thanx, as I said, that was from a tougher time in our marriage, but we're okay now...I still love him and we're just as happy now as the day we say "I do"...thanx...I'll be looking for that poem!! hehe
