Mummy!

by Poppy   Sep 2, 2004

When you left me,
I found it hard to cope,
I’d look at others,
And give up hope.

We where just talking,
And walking,
Laughing our life’s away,
When yours did.

Driven top speed,
Round a corner,
He hit you hard,
And ran away.

I cry at night,
You stand in the light,
I want to join you,
But I can’t.

Mother, why?
Please come back,
I need you,
Why?

I look at you in pictures,
In water, in the sky.
I look for you everywhere,
Yet I can’t find you?

Mummy… Mummy,
I hurt my knee,
I can’t stand up,
I hurt.

Why aren’t you here?
Please come near,
It hurts to be alone,
Mother I miss you.
