I Dare You

by David Munoz   Sep 2, 2004

You were once my world
You were all I had
The glimmer of Light
That kept me from being sad

You once told me you loved me
And I meant the world to you
Made you realize who you wanted to be
And promised that your love was true

But now what we had is over
And our hearts are no longer taken
But my Heart yearns with a question
Was our love forsaken?

The Feelings we had
Which felt so strong
Were they justly abandoned?
Or did they really belong?

Are the feelings I still have
There unjustly so
Or is there something
That I should Know

True love does not diminish
It's one thing love cannot do
So tell me you don't have feelings for me
In Fact, I Dare You To
