Dead Batteries

by Aline   Sep 4, 2004

I can't see where I'm going
there's no light to guide me
down this path in life
it's been a long time
since I had to
do this on my own
someone, please.
give me a flashlight
maybe then I'll be able to
shed some light
on this thing they call life
or not,
the damn batteries don't work
just like the thoughts
in my head
don't make any sense
I go from happy to sad
and back to happy
and than sad
all over again
it's a never ending cycle
that started sometime this summer
I'm not exactly sure when
I just know it happened
and I haven't been able
to shake the feeling
so will someone please
get me some batteries
and make sure
they're not dead
before you give them to me
I can't take any other
set backs right now
there are plenty of those
in the days ahead
so for now
let's not have anymore

Thanks Brittny. I don't really remember what it's about either cause I wrote it a year ago and just decided to post it in here the other day. If you need something, get my cell number from Sammie and don't be afraid to wake me up.
    Love,
