What Do You Think Of JFK

by Robert   Sep 4, 2004

His life was before mine,
but his death still perplexes my mind.
Second generation of wealth,
he was groomed to a presidential health.
Brother of a man, who went after the organized crime,
which was maybe the reason that shorted his time.
A man who married a woman that most would be envy of,
but doubtful if it was for true love.
He had is flings, we are sure of this,
by the most sexy women that blew him a kiss.
Was he a good man that had a real dream,
well me never know because of an evil scheme.
The government said there was just one person that shot,
but in so much web of deceit often a truth is caught.
Who to say who that the real villain,
for the all the evidence mounted past the ceiling.
Castro, Mob, CIA, Oswald, all subject to the finger,
still even in my time the mystery linger.
I was born the day he did die,
and I think other then who the question should be why.
But others have been lost the same way,
and views of their deaths sway.
In the end I think it's the vision that needs to live on,
because face it we all don't have too long.

Good... except two things I didn't quite agree on:
    - Jackie and JFK 'appeared' as a couple of true love, though there was gossip of it being a facade. So, I'm not sure if they were truly in love.
    - The last line's rhyme just... seemed a bit out of it for me, I think it would've worked better if it fitted in with the poem more. I don't know; a sentence summing up JFK.
But apart from that; nice work. JFK facinates me, I believe his death was a conspiracy, but unfortunately we may never find out.
    Well done!
"He had is flings, we are sure of this,

They were my favourite rhyme... the Marylin Monroe affair was quietly publisized, I remember hearing little on it when I was study JFK.
