V-day

by Robert   Sep 4, 2004

As a child I had little to do with this day,
for I would never receive a card to my dismay.
Now I am older with some one at my side,
and there love being my lasting pride.
I receive and give all that is in me,
and some how that one that was me has turned into we.
We play and live together with respect,
and go from day to day with little regret.
What can I tell you about her and all she had done,
for in our love she has made us both into one.
Her kiss good night tell me that all is well,
and her body next to mine makes me swell.
The smell of her and the touch of her hair,
has no compare.
I love her with everything I have come to be,
I love her because in her I can be free.
For Valentine days was never a big day,
but now they are my life because she is here to stay.
