Truths Lost in Your Path

by Rose   Sep 5, 2004

I'm a suspended, fateless story,
tainting threads for you to savor,
in your fruitful web of glory,
Neatly knitted in your favor.

Watching paths meander 'round me
as you drift through life in vein.
You ride your highs too fast to see
My silenced endless pain.

It seems they've found a destination,
or a reason to speed on,
I stay stalled in hesitation
as your web drives you along.

This dark and misty night,
filled with tired trodden roads.
Black clouds of your false delight,
truths to a resting stranger shown.
