I Don't Want to go Back

by Kristin   Sep 5, 2004

The summer is leaving and soon school will start,
the misery will come back to tear out my heart,
I don't want to go back there to that scary place,
Just being in that school I feel like a disgrace.

Everyone is so pretty but I stick out from them,
They are all beautiful flowers yet I am the green stem.
I want to be smart and have a good education,
I want to be proud and help this nation.

But when school is so cruel,
I just can't go back now,
People staring all the time,
I just have to make it somehow....

I don't have any friends at school,
I could never ever become cool.
I sit alone and eat my lunch,
I feel the strength of the invisible punch.

In just a couple days I will have to face it all again,
and pray that they'll treat me like a citizen,
I will get straight A's like a always do,
and hope that this school won't be so untrue.
