My Quilt

by Leah20   Sep 5, 2004

Have you seen
My brand-new quilt?
The one in which I've sewn
All my pain and guilt?
Each day A new stitch
Is added to my quilt
Which is now laden
With the blood, sweat and tears
That have been bottled up for too many years
What a beautiful color red
The one that is the essence of life
The one that can take away the strife
A new stitch is added
With a needle or a pin
Endulging. more and more, in my favorite sin
My quilt; My wrist
My needle; My knife
Isn't it so lovely
This brilliant color red
To take away the pain
And all the words left unsaid
Would you like to see
The beautiful thing I've done to me?
It gives me power;
It gives me life;
It gives me control
It's amazing what
You can do with a knife

    This is the by far best poem that is about cutting! I love it! I can feel my scars bleeding. Great job!!
