This is how my life has been
Since my parents through me out
At a tender fifteen
You could never begin to comprehend
The extent of what i have seen.

This is how my life has had to be
I've raised myself
Learnt to only depend on me
I've been poor and I've struggled
Believing it was just my destiny

This is how my life has turned out
I discovered so young
What life was all about
Felt standing standing in a crowded room
Screaming, though no one could hear me shout.

This is just the life i know
I can't blame anyone but myself
You dont have to tell me so
Taking responsibility for my actions
Will help me get where i wanna go

This is my life just me on my own
I maintain a good job
And keep a beautiful home
this poems for the kids on the street right now
out there feeling cold and alone

This is YOUR life dont take it as it comes
Play hard and work harder
Don't forget where you came from
Have faith in your dreams,work to achieve them
And be proud of the person YOU made YOURSELF become!

    Yeah this is based on my real life guys - i hope it brings some solace to some other kids out there - i really needed support and advice going thru this stage - i guess these were the sorts of words i wanted to hear :o)
