Not Alone That Day

by Hannah   Sep 6, 2004

Everyone was supposed to bring Their big sister to school
That day
For him it wouldn't work that way

His mother told him it'd be hard to Make it through the day
She tried to keep him home said He'd be alone all day
He said he didn't care
As he assured her it wouldn't be that way.

Everyone introduced their sister
When it came his time to do so
He said "I can't exactly introduce her
See she lives quiet far away but she's Still With me every day" He stopped And closed his eyes "When I close my Eyes I see her standing here" trying to Hold back a tear the teacher his Teacher said "that's nice to hear"
He said "wait I am not done" see "She was even here when I got my first Home run. She was holding the ball Helping it not to fall" he said "I know She's here with me I can feel her here With me"

The teacher's eyes filled up with Tears
As the young boy spoke of all the Years

As he ended
He kept his eyes closed
Because he didn't want his sister's Image to go

*IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY FRIEND CHRISTEN*
