Love Unrecognized

by Justin   Sep 6, 2004

Love came to me, with her splendor,
Like an autumn breeze in silent whisper,
With subtle hues, shimmering mirage,
It graced my life with its silent number.
Cherish it, I should have done with it,
But I was deaf to its song, blind to its beauty,
Senseless was I when it touched my soul.
I looked elsewhere, like a beggar on a beach of gold,
I looked inside the blinding darkness of my mind,
Envisaged a pain that was supposed to be,
A helping hand in my journey called life.

As the rain lashed on my window pane,
And the storm whistled and whined,
The love alive in my heart winced into its womb,
And the rain drops washed away the incipient love.
Was it really love that I gave birth in my heart?
Or is it just imagination of a hapless handicap?
I was deaf I could not listen to it sing in my ears,
I was blind I could not perceive its beauty,
For me it will always be a reminder forever and now,
It was, once, and will be my unrecognized love.
