Tears

There are tears of joy.
There are tears of sadness.

My tears are of sadness.

Tears of joy come
From a newborn baby in a couples life,
Or seeing a friend after so long.

Those aren't my tears.

My tears of sadness...
They are of self-pity.
Which I dearly dispise.

My tears of sadness
Are hear to stay.
Even with no sleep for a week.

Life has me down.
What else is new?
