I wish...

I wish my empty heart were not so empty,
I wish… I wish that happiness were all I knew,
But… wishes cannot save me.
I'm alone.

I wish someone would hear me calling,
I wish with all my heart… it will not break,
I wish… for these wishes to come true,
Or for someone to see me through.

See me through the darkness,
See me through the heartache,
That is my life, my strife.
I wish for the impossible.

I know my wishes shall never be granted,
I know because life is… unfair.
Life is never fair, it does not care.
I'm alone I know this and except this.
