Time

by Robert   Sep 7, 2004

I am constant even more then the stars,
And the giver of all land scars.
I am eternal with no sense of regret,
I am the only thing that is your best bet.
I walk through others life to see what they have done,
I am everything to most but I am only one.
The mountains fear me and the stars will all rest,
For I am the only thing that will pass life's test.
Like the circle of life I have no real end,
Just points of interest around every bend.
Every culture or walk of life,
Sees my presence and fears my strife.
I will make the old crawl to its knees,
And I will grant new life I do please.
I am what others would like to have a lot,
But they will all fall into death's plot.
I am not evil nor good to anything that crosses my way,
For when they all die it is I that shall stay.
Tell me nothing for I know it all,
For I can give you the date of when your life will fall.
I am time and I bare no ill will,
For in my world I am the only thing that will heal
