*I am not the author of this poem my mother wrote this when she was 17 and does not think her work is good enough please read and comment*

Dear Lord,
If I could have one wish
that wish would always be
To have our dearest daddy back
so everyone could see
That he was a special daddy and
we placed no one above
He was the one we cared for and
he was the one we love
We look to the lonely graveyard
we see the place he rests
We miss you dearest daddy
we thought you were the best
We prayed at night for God to hear
the prayers we pleas we made
The pain we saw that was in your eyes
we watched it slowly fade
But with the pain we watched you go
and prayed for so much more
But God wrapped his arms around you
and took you to his shore
Its not the same with out you here
the children seem to know
That daddy's gone forever, and with
him our love will go
But if I could have one miracle
that miracle would be
To have our daddy here again
so everyone could see
That you fought a long hard battle
and in the end you won
But that just didn't happen, and
the deed is said and done
So here's a kiss dear daddy, from
all the kids to you
To let you know we'll see you, But
until then a tear or two must do

*sorry is was so long.....
