Where do I stand?

by Georgina Gilbert   Sep 7, 2004

As you reach for my hand,
I know my mind pours,
Because this is the first time,
It's not me reaching for yours,

You might say to me,
"I'm not worth your while",
But I'd break my bones,
Just to see your smile,

You laugh at me,
Cuz I don't want to let you go,
I'm holding on too tight,
But there's much you don't know,

I'm really not sure,
Where I stand,
As you say "I don't know" to me,
But still hold my hand,

I'm just so lost amongst my butterflies,
As I stare, straight into your eyes,
And I can feel everything,
Everything,
And I know it's too much,
But I'm beyond addicted,
By your touch,

I could ask you,
A thousand questions,
By the time you've finished,
There are as many suggestions,
And I'm left with an empty heart,
Unsure of where the end is,
And where we start,

But right now,
I can't leave,
Without a solid goodbye,
And I can't guarantee,
There won't be a tear in my eye...
