The Devil in the Night

Sleeping she awakes
To silence all around
Shadows casting eerie lights
In darkness new figures abound
Knowing not what it means
To have to hear their blood-curtling screams
Sleeping she awakes
New figures in the dawn
Proving to her that
Her nightly schemes are wrong
Sleeping she awakes
Again he is by her side
She wants nothing more of him
Again he partakes of her
Cutting her deeper down inside
Sleeping she awakes
He is wispering in her ear
But the things he is saying
Are words she cannot hear
Again he comes back
She wishes him to be gone
Again he whispers
And tells her to be calm
Sleeping she awakes
Overcome again
Once again he takes away
What she held most dear
Once again the tears she cries
Are ones no man can hear
Sleeping she awakes
The devil, as always, is by her side
Screaming as he drags her
Again to his hell
Sleeping she awakes
This is her life
But the scenery has changed
Not as it was before
This time there was much more
Finally she awakes

    Well, I must say..this was quite an interesting read. I can see in a previous comment that this involved supernatural forces. It kept my attention, and was dark indeed. The flow was nice, and I enjoyed it. Great job.

    This was a good story/ poem and read well but the end was too hazy it left too much to my imagination what happend to her? Well it was a good piece of work until the end keep trying...

    Okay, at a few parts i got a bit bored and trailed off, but otherwise i thought this poem was very good, and it was also well written. Its just that this isnt exactly my type of poem, but i still thought you did a good job on it. 4/5 from me, keep on writing.
