You gave me that last rose...
Do you know how hard it was to hold?
It trembled and shook in my hand
My heart went still, my heart went cold

You walked away
From that awkward scene
I fell to my knees
I wondered how you could be so mean

You just handed it to me
And pushed a note in my hand
You began to walk away
I read the note and it was hard to stand...

"I can't be with you anymore
We weren't meant to be
I have found another
Another that loves me.

"Did you ever even love me?
Did you ever even care?
You seemed so out there
All you would do is stare.

"That's why I am leaving
You're just so blank...
I'm sorry if this hurts you
And keep in mind that it's no prank."

A single tear came from my eye
And I watched as you drove away
I plucked the petals from the rose
And watched them go astray
