Distant Friends ~

by Zundricia   Sep 8, 2004

Though distant we are, and rarely we speak
I yearn for the day that we both shall meet
I can’t say that it’s love, not as of yet
But a true friendship, that’s lasting I can bet

You call sometimes just to say hi – I’m glad
We can’t expound and get to know each other – I’m mad
You’re witty and funny, closed, and true
I really can’t wait to get to know more of you

You want to know more – I tell you not now, not here
You patiently wait to find out what I hold dear
Always making me smile, now I’ll always depend
On you being my sunshine ~ my one and true friend.

Trust among two, whose friendship will begin
Amongst far skies, we distant friends…
