Forbidden to say

by Feel my pain   Sep 9, 2004

I pledge allegiance to the flag,
Many times I have spoken these words,
One Nation under God,
No longer wants to be heard,
You always hear profanity,
In schools everyday,
But why is God on the list of words,
That I am forbidden to say?,
Our fore fathers set back,
The freedom of our speech,
But when religion is brought up,
We lose our right to preach,
History is our past,
It is why we are here today,
So why would you want to change the words,
To celebrate what our founder had to say,
The pledge is a part of life,
First published in 1892,
It shows your dedication,
Proving you're loyal to the red, white, and blue,
I truly believe that one day,
God will save my soul,
And even if you don't believe in Him,
He will not let you go.
