She whispers through gasping breaths as tears slide down her cheeks.

You said you'd always be here..
Always be here.
Even when I cried.

Promised me forever and a year.
I thought we would be that forever that people only dream about..

Never thought this was how it would turn out.

With me right here...the place we first met, and you above the clouds.

"You promised..."

She whispers as she looks at her slit wrists.

Red bliss cascading down through her fingertips.

Crimson marks she shall never wash away.

"You promised"

She whispers one last time before her body at last falls limp, no longer filled with any sign of life.
