Inner Decay

by Scott   Sep 9, 2004

People tell you not to die
They tell you its naive
People wonder why
I guess I don't wear it on my sleeve

When it happens they cry
Say he had so much to live for
Don't realize he wanted to die
Living is a constant war

People wish it wasn't this way
They want everyone to survive
I'm feeling myself decay
Because it hurts to be alive

The entire poem was truly brilliant, but I thought the last two lines to be the best. Wonderful job.
