Thank You

There came a time in my life
Where I just wanted to die
I would lie in bed late at night
And stare up at the dark sky

I had reached my rock bottom
This was a very lonely place
There was no way I could escape
I lived in depressions embrace

I dreamed of finding happiness
But had lost hope of being free
I needed a shoulder to lean on
And that’s when you came to me

You have given me my dream
The only thing that I want in life
And when you made it a reality
You took away some of my strife

You made me see I have a future
That you just have to dare to believe
I know now that I must reach out
For the things I want to achieve

Now my perspective has changed
I know that dreams can come true
I feel much better about everything
And this is all because of you

So I just want to say thank you
For making me see through the rain
And for being such a great uncle
In a time I could only feel pain
