I cannot understand what happened
Or why you were taken away
I just wish you were here with me
And god had let you stay

You were so young when you died
Not ready to leave us behind
I have never gotten over losing you
You are always in my mind

You were such a good friend Josh
I miss not having you around
I have cried so many tears since
That I fear I could have drowned

It has been nearly a year now
Since your life came to an end
My heart is shattered in pieces
And I am not yet ready to mend

I know that you can hear me josh
From your place in the sky
I just needed to write this to you
As a way of saying goodbye
