Bundle Of Human Hell

by Kristyn   Sep 9, 2004

How can you love someone like this
the one who lies to feel her own bliss
hiding the truth behind the mask
trying to avoid the nearing task

her eyes are burning from tears she's cried
her heart is yearning for things she's tried
the inside is fighting to get out
but the facade makes whispers of her shout

she's disgusted by the way she is now
surprised that you love her and wondering how
the heart she gave you wasn't her own
for the wounds she bares are open, unsewn

to be held and loved by someone so pure
the things that make her insecure
she wonders how you can hold her close
and how she's still the one who means most

this girl you see on the outside
she's nothing like the dark soul she hides
maybe this facade was her long ago
but now the traces of her never show

a flood of questions, blood and tears
emotions, screams and hidden fears
nightmares haunting every dream and thought
shadows showing the monsters they brought

in the corner of her mind
the young girls hides behind
knees drawn in and rocking slow
her tears causing her fears to grow

sadness consumes her and nothing's left
to the comforting words she's always deft
so how can you love this empty shell,
this little bundle of human hell?
