Longing

My heart has cracked open
now that we are apart
the pain that i feel
tears right at my heart

the misery i feel
leaves me hollow inside
a feeling as empty
as the outgoing tide

I long for the time
those years that are past
to rush back and greet me
those times i would grasp

to live them again
is all that i need
to right any wrong
my love to succeed

in winning you back
our hearts both as one
to live life together
till we are undone............
