Addicted I

by My Obsεssion   Sep 11, 2004

"It'll cause no harm," you tell yourself
As from a cigarette you take some drags
But a couple turns into five or six cigarettes
Your life of comfort transforms to a life of rags
"This will be my last pack," you promise
As you take yet another puff
Meanwhile your rent is late yet again
And your landlord's almost had enough
But that last pack turns into to ten more
You promise everyone that you'll no longer smoke
But you can't stop and the rent is due
And you are completely broke
Your money's been wasted on this horrible habit
And now you are going to get evicted
You realize, though it's much too late,
That you've become addicted

**Didn't realy know what to put this under so it's here..if you have any suggestions for another place it could go please tell me.**

Don't listen to anyone who gives rude comments *cough*

This poem was very good and I loved the whole meaning behind it. You have a God-given talent and don't let anybody look down on you for your work, because it's truly awesome! =) Take care, as always, and keep writing!
