Sin

by Robert   Sep 11, 2004

You label a name on me but can you truly know,
what is really in this deadly show?
How could you say the acts that consist in me are true?
when you know what it is you do.
You say sex in forms that are unknown to you are bad,
still it is your priests that lay with the confused lad.
How can you tear down a place of worship and tell them it is wrong,
then cast them afire on a stump and let the sin burn out long.
All in the name of God, a statement that is only to be in your right,
but any others that talk against you are put to death or hidden from sight.
You claim to love all in this land we share,
still you take life from other without care.
What is the truest sin you wish to kill,
for is it love or a chance to heal?
Speak in tongues or tell me of your word,
until you live in other lives you are just absurd.
