Nature's palette

The world is nature's pallet,
for painting on the earth.
She makes the earth enjoyable
she paints for all she's worth.

A splash of green is taken,
to color the tops of trees.
Deeper and lighter shades are needed,
so she makes them in degrees.

Brown is for the soil,
which lays over the ground.
Rich elements in it do lie,
so plants there can be found.

Blue is brushed over the surface,
covering most land.
These waters are what we call the ocean,
so mysterious yet so grand.

Yellow is for the sun,
so bright, it keeps us warm.
It's so good to see it come back up,
that light after a storm.

Black is for what we call night,
in darkness, it's time to rest.
But for nature, she's always working,
yet she's always at her best.

Red and orange are meant for the leaves,
these colors are seen in the fall.
They're the one last clip of color we see,
for winter is making her call.

White is for the snow,
that flutters from the clouds.
Settling down as the world's blanket,
protecting, such a beautiful shroud.

Purples and pinks are for the flowers,
which bloom in the spring.
The cycle and colors that nature's created,
it's such a wonderful thing.

Last but not least, she takes leftovers,
and streaks them across the sky.
A rainbow is made, she looks at her work
as she gives a happy sigh.
