The River Man

by Kristin   Sep 12, 2004

The river man kills after dark,
where no one can hear the victims bark.
He leaves them on the ground to die,
they breath their last breath and go up to the sky.

People are worried about their lives,
who will be next to feel the knives.
They run to their houses, run to their cars,
will they be safe or hang with the stars.

He killed so many incocent souls,
now their families are digging holes,
they are in the ground where they will find peace,
will the killings finally stop or will they increase?

He picks his victims then stabs them twice,
then leaves them on the riverbed ice.
They lie there until someone finds them there,
Many cry and they say a prayer.

Will the river man ever be stopped?
or will the whole case just be dropped.
Now there's a suspect in this case,
but nobody ever sees his face.

The took him in, he passed the polygraph,
everyone signed and the suspect laughed.
A few years later DNA testing has advanced,
He was linked to many deaths and the investigators danced.

They had their man and convicted him to the crime,
He was a mental case and very grime,
He killed 57 innocent hearts,
This amount of murders topped the charts.

He was sentenced to death at 7:00am,
Everyone was relieved that he was condemned.
At the funeral the families kept their composure,
from their daughters deaths they finally had closure.
