Lies of the Heart

by Matthew   Sep 13, 2004

Lies of the heart
Can fool our mind,
Keep us down,
Keep us blind

No way to move ahead,
Like a fly in a trap,
Stuck there until it's death

The keeper of my heart
Holds one in each hand.
Unfortunately, her grip is too strong,
She won't let me go.

Light at the end of the tunnel
Is getting closer and closer.
And yet, I am not moving,
I get run over and darkness prevails once more.
