Battlefield

by David Munoz   Sep 13, 2004

The battle is over
There shall be no more
I have tried so hard
But still lost the war

You pushed me away
Causing my heart to bend
Pushing me out of your life
Until I knew it was the end

But the world has changed
The old leaders are gone
Replaced by new ones
Who's emotions really belong

The old leaders reign
Which was filled with song
Was cut short forcing a end
With the force of a bomb

But now new leaders emerge
Who wish to embrace what's right
Only to find the path has changed
Revealed by the masters light

Both nations facing different roads
Oblivious to what the future may yield
But strengthened by the knowledge they gained
The night they were on the battlefield

You express yourself well through your poetry David and as I have said to other writers it takes a lot of courage to place your poems and allow others to read your inner most thoughts and feelings.
For the fact that you do not know wether comments are going to be negative or positive.
Your poems are something to be proud of, you have a gift.
    I like your work David.
Keep on writing for it is the true key to our sanctuary and for our hearts.
    Take heed.

~*The true art of wrting befalls in the heart and not from the mind, if it does not then tis not an art of writing...Deaths Maiden*~
