Let Everything Go.

by Marta   Sep 13, 2004

Underneath this special smile
Lay the eyes of a helpless girl
That no one really understands
How to let the mournful pain unfurl.

At school she is really not fine
People ask her what is wrong
She will never say a single word
As she feels she isn't strong.

The cuts that pose upon her wrists
Will never bleed the pain away
She knows it will never happen
Unless she goes the other way.

Counselors always asking why
She's starving herself so thin
Because they don't understand
What goes on under her skin.

These words are never enough
To explain what's in her head
Because every day and night
Is something she always dread.

Her answers have never came
To fill the unknown questions
The blade lays at her fingertips
Cutting has become an obsession.

But until that day
She now knows
Why she’ll finally
Let everything go..
