My eyes grew wide the day that you said goodbye.
It hit me hard, like my heart just exploded inside.
I went deep into my mind too a place that I've never been before.
A place so kind but when you touch it fells so sore.
It's choking me, I can't hardly breath.
But when you look at me, it sets me free.
I knew you too long for you to just walk away.
This couldn't be true, not here, not today.
Your crying now and I want so bad to tell you that it's ok.
But how can I tell you when I don't even know what to say.
I guess I have to let you go after all these years.
I just hope you know that I well never be able to hold back these fallen tears.
*I wrote this after my friend of 13 years moved away. We never kept in touch. It hurts me every day.
