Simple Thoughts

by fear no pain   Sep 14, 2004

Sometimes I worry about the entire human race. We are all so consumed by our own beliefs, our own worries, and our own lives that we fail to see the heartache of others. We fail to see beyond the surface of people and we never consider what is on that person's mind. Nobody these days is kind enough to notice and appreciate the little things in life...
We do things to hurt ourselves, whether it's physically, mentally, or spiritually. We harm ourselves just because nobody cares about us. We mutilate ourselves to see if anybody notices us. But the sad thing is...it's true. Nobody cares about people anymore.
We're doomed. We cannot survive on this earth anymore. We are in a permanent downward slope in life. We are almost at the end of the rope. It's breaking. Soon, there's not going to be anywhere left to go... We're going to be free-falling... Is anybody else worried about that? Does anybody else notice that if we do not come together, nothing can get accomplished?..
There is no other way around this mess. It's a detour on a one-way street. It's either a rocky road, just a bumpy ride, or it's the forest, where there are wild animals, huge trees, rivers to build a bridge over, and things worse than what we're going through right now...
Our world's future doesn't always depend on the children of the new generation. It's all about those kid's parents and their role models who mold and shape them. Do you want our future generations growing up not knowing how to do anything because we have taught them to conform to every rule, to every belief? We haven't taught them to think for themselves..
