For A Moment

by Jena   Sep 14, 2004

For a moment I thought that the timing was finally right.

For a moment I brought back all those good thoughts of you.

For a moment my heart skipped a beat and I thought that you might love me, too.

For a moment I saw my future with you.

For a moment these six years of waiting felt like they might have been worth it.

For a moment I cast all of my doubts aside.

For a moment I was fifteen again, and you eighteen.

For a moment I re-lived that first kiss...that first heartbreak...that first tear...that reborn hope...the whole thing.

For a moment I felt the courage to finally tell you I loved you.

For a moment I felt that happiness that only you can make me feel.

For a moment I realized our moment is over, and there will be no more moments with you.
