Still pleading

by SCARECROW   Sep 14, 2004

This is about the same guy I wrote about in My Angel.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So alone now, I'm so far away.
Yet so close to death though I'm alive today.
Your eyes are emptier than the skies.
So vast, yet shrouded in clouds of lies.
To the touch, your skin is even colder than ice.
You are nothing more than an angel of vice.
You own my soul, my addiction, my love.
It is you who owns me, not the Lord above.
Drowning myself in darkness as my tears flow free.
I think only of you, none else, not me.
You know not of my suffering, my love for you.
Nor that you sold my soul and broke my heart in two.
Even now I wonder how you do not see
the lives you take, what you break, what you did to me.
In your case I will plead my insanity
though you have no understanding, no humanity.
My hopeful sorrow, my angelic pain,
I have been broken by your ruthless disdain.
I look at you each day wasting my life away.
Spend hours staring at the sky where the demons stay.
You are my hate, my saviour, my one fallen angel.
You destroyed my life and left my mind so mangled.
Now unknowingly watching my pain become your lifeline.
Spirit and bone in grave of truth does entwine.
I am your lie, watch as you become my fantasy.
You have all you could want, I have only my reality.
You possess me with your smile, the ice in your eyes
as you give her all your truth and give me only lies.
I would gladly give you my life, unasked,
though each feeling I have for you is silently masked.
You know not that this minute my blood flows for you,
I know you are with her, there is nothing else you do.
