As i look in the mirror what do i see?

As I look in the mirror
What do I see?
I see my mother and my father looking at me.
A very unique girl,
With a huge story to tell
Of how two different families came together and,
Ended up with me.

I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
I see a girl that was hated
Because family did not want me,
I see a girl that was hated
Because the color of her skin
It was not "white enough"
Or "black enough"
I was in between.

When I look in the mirror
What do I see?
I see eyes full of secrets
And stories that could be told
I see tears
Intended for happy times and sad
I see a girl that loves to be love
And wishes that all the hate would end
But knows that will never happen.

When I look in the mirror
What do I see?
I see a small little bud
Becoming a beautiful rose,
One that is very different
Loving every minute.

When I look in the mirror
What do I see?
I see a young woman
Who brought two families together
and now they love me.
They fell in love with the little girl who was different
And now don't want me to go
Wants me to stay
And spend time with me everyday
In every possible way

When I look in the mirror
what do i see?
I see a smile
A smile that holds a lot of things
But when I look in the mirror
What do I see?
I see
Me,
The mixed girl who was looked at as different
I see me.

That was awesome. I love the way turned out. I can relate on some level too I'm mixed, but I never cared about my mom's side of the family. If I passed my grandfather on street today, he'd probably have know clue who I was:p. Anyway, awesome right and Yay!! for the happy ending;)
