Holding on

by insane authority   Sep 14, 2004

As the breeze gently brushes against my skin
and daylight gradually sinks beneath the horizon
the blueness of the sky fades to ruthless pink ad purple
I breath in tranquil air; you've finally sheltered me in.

the roads were long and risks lurked everywhere
Where paths jagged; i uneven, and our routes disappeared
The candle I carried within was burning away
my faith blew out and everything was to much to bare

losing track; your lost words i failed to cease
filled my days with countless tears and unease
losing hope, i sank and shattered inside
weakening my confidence I failed to abide

Drowning quicker in my world which had subsided
I thought you'd gave up on me, I thought we were divided.

but you held on to me firm and strong
never letting go of me, you never thought of me wrong
reassuring me, you rescued me within
Holding on..., i never thought our love would win.
