When Our Paths Were Almost One

I see you everyday,
You smile softy as we pass,
And secretly I wish it were,
Like it used to be in the past.

And that once in a while glance,

I’ll think of that long ago romance.

And every time u laugh,
I know in a snap I could take it away,
To bring up something you’ve done,
Once a time before when you would stay.

And I know we pretend not to care,
And I pretend to never want you,
But in the silence of the night,
I dream of you like I always do.

And I know that time has passed,
And what’s over now is done,
But I still remember when we were,
And when our paths were almost one.
