Dear lord please bless her family
for they all loved her so
but now the only problem
is that she'll never know

dear lord now shes in heaven
watching over us
and every time we go to lie
she reminds us of her trust

dear lord we know this happened
even if we don't understand
but now shes finally happy
holding onto your hand

dear lord she was not happy
her life was only pain
every night she'd lift that blade
and press it to her vein

dear lord she wrapped it round her neck
consumed in all her sorrow
she knew that now was the time
so she wouldn't see tomorrow

dear lord we could not take it
when we found her hanging there
we stared at her with tears
and saw her lifeless stare

dear lord now we think of her
remembering those days
when she was so young
and she danced and played

dear lord her life wasn't long
only thirteen short years
but now shes gone forever
consuming our worst fears

dear lord she seemed so happy
we never thought this could be
but now that she has passed away
there's tears surrounding me

dear lord i know it was her time
to be led to the sky
but dear lord just one request
please tell her i said goodbye
