I wish I knew everything.
That way, I would know what was going on
I would understand why it was happening
And I wouldn’t have to believe the lies
That I always seem to believe.
I wouldn’t need to ask you so many questions
And then wonder whether you’re answer
Was the truth.
I wish life were simple.
That way, if you truly loved someone
They would truly love you back
And you wouldn’t have to worry about it
Because you would just know.
Everything would be the way it should be
With no ifs, ands or buts that always create
So much doubt.
I wish you could read this.
That way, you would know…
Know everything that I’m feeling
And everything that you’re doing
That I’m sure you’re unaware of.
All I want is for everything to work out
But the problem is, you think
Everything is just fine.
